Who We Are
The International Sindhi Partnership has followers of Jesus from around world who have a concern for Sindhis. These include Sindhis as well as non-Sindhis. Most Sindhis today have a Muslim background and live in the Sindh, and there is a growing community who follow Jesus. The largest community of Sindhis who follow Jesus live in India, with smaller communities in several countries across the world. Those in India and around the world are largely Hindu background.
The aim of the partnership is to work together so that all Sindhis have the opportunity to hear and respond to the love of God made available through Jesus. The Partnership has a Facilitating Team that coordinates a bi-annual International event, as well as encouraging national and regional partnerships in Australasia, India, Middle-East & Africa, Pakistan, South East Asia and The Americas. Everything we do is done voluntarily; we have no paid staff.
There are online events such as Live YouTube broadcasts and Zoom prayer events that bring us together to interact, share music and culture, pool resources, and pray for our world. There is even a Marriage Bureau to assist Christ-followers find marriage partners from a Sindhi background that have a similar faith in Christ.
Go alone, go fast.
Go together, go far.
WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP
A partnership is group who work together for a common goal bringing their individual skills, talents, ideas, and resources to accomplish something bigger and better than they could achieve on their own.
Working in partnership provides diversity and resilience, and hence a better result. It’s inherent in God’s nature, and the way he operates. Jesus also prayed that we’d be united. It’s also important for sustainable and authentic growth.
Partnerships are everywhere: marriages, teams and companies. Even dining out involves partnership. Many play their part, from the farmer to the chef to the waiter to the consumer. Then there are those who set up the restaurant, decorated the room, supply the power and so on.
Our unifying goal is to partner together to see Sindhis become followers of Christ and fruitful reproducing members of His church. We run in-person gatherings every few years that have led to many things happening afterwards as people connected. We also connect online in various ways, bringing people together and motivating them to share resources, support one another and thereby unite. This strengthens our cohesion, our bonds of community among us as we follow Christ in partnership from across the world.
