Invitation to Share Your Story by Suneel Shivdasani

We’re inviting Sindhis to share short personal stories (300–500 words) about how they began following Jesus. These biographical articles can gently encourage others who may be on a similar journey.

Stories are powerful.

Please include a few details about your family’s home life and cultural background—especially from your childhood or before your spiritual journey began. This helps readers from other Sindhi families connect with your story.

Describe what life was like before you met Jesus, while honouring your family’s religious and cultural traditions. Share what was happening in your heart—what you were thinking, feeling, or questioning. For example: “Growing up, I often wondered about the deeper meaning of life—why we suffer, what brings true peace, and whether God really sees us.”

Avoid teaching - simply tell your story. Focus on how you felt, and the steps you took along the way.

Briefly describe how you encountered Jesus – was it over time or did you say a prayer with friends?

Describe what changed when Jesus came into your life. How did you feel? What shifted in your daily experience—did you sleep better, feel less anxious, or find new peace? Help readers understand how those changes connected with your earlier longings or struggles.

It’s okay to include any questions or hopes that remain unanswered. Your honesty helps others feel safe to explore.

Please avoid using “churchy” words or phrases that aren’t commonly heard in everyday life. This helps keep your story clear and relatable for family and friends and avoids creating unnecessary barriers.
